Where does time go??

Well well... where to start..? there has been so much that has happened since I last got on here. Lets just say I am the worst blogger around town.
I am now 36 weeks and 2 days pregnant. It feels good to finally be getting onto my 37th week. I never ever thought this time would come. I remember thinking when Christmas came I would only have a month left and how soon that would feel. Now that Christmas has come and gone I feel like this month might just be the longest month of our lives!!! It's so hard to wait patiently when you just want that little baby here. We are so excited to be able to bring that little man to our home:)

The babies room is finally almost done! The last thing that needs to be finished is the bedding. My mother-in-law is helping me (doing most of the work;), I just love her!) do the baby bedding. I decided to go with a pirate theme room. The bedding is all pirate and super cute. I cant wait to see the finished project and am so excited to put it in the crib. I will post more pictures when it is all complete, but here is what the room is now. We also have a changing table that we are re-doing right now too!

I am now onto my weekly appointments with the Dr. I just cross my fingers it wont be 5 more visits... :S with the first, my dr. wont induce you until your 41 weeks, so i hope so bad i go on my own before that. I feel ready now. haha. JUST GET THIS BABY HERE :).

Kyle and I are so excited. We got our travel system on Christmas and we were so excited to get home that night and put it all together. Once we got it all put together, Kyle went and put the base in the car and then snapped the car seat to it. He said we need to be ready just in case we are out and you go into labor. He is such an excited daddy. I cant wait to see what he will be like with this baby. He is super cute about it already!

Its been a while since I've posted any pictures of Leo. He has gotten so big since the last pictures i posted of him. He isn't really a puppy anymore. :(. I'm a little worried of how he is going to handle a new baby coming. As corny as that is to say it is so true. He is one spoiled dog and i know when he doesnt get the kind of attention he gets now,  it could be bad... I guess he will just have to get used to it. :)

FIRST ULTRASOUND

Well here's the baby! The first picture of our little baby. It is 1.89 cm long. It's just a tiny little thing. The baby was moving its arms up and down the whole time. We got to see the little heart beat too. It was a lot of fun to finally see it. We measured exactly right now from where we thought we were. We are 8 weeks and 3 days along. The doctor was excellent.

EXCITING NEWS

Kyle and I felt like it was right to start a family this year. Even though it seems so crazy for only being married 7 months at the time we knew it was what needed to happen. I have always loved kids so much and from the time I was little everyone would tell me I would have 10 kids. haha. Even though that is not going to happen I LOVE THEM. I played with dolls until I was 12 years old. Being a mom has been such a dream for me. Kyle is just along for the ride. haha just kidding. He is so excited to be a dad and I know he is going to be such a great one. He loves to read the books week by week of what is happening with our cute little baby blueberry. We may sometimes be a little scared and unsure how we are going to do this at times, but we are so happy and know everything will work out. 

So after trying a couple months and having some disappointments we finally got pregnant. I found out on Sat May 14th. I was getting ready for my best friends wedding and just decided I would take a pregnancy test.. Not thinking much of it or paying attention to it i kept getting ready. I finally just glanced down at it thinking it was going to be negative like all the others in the past it sure wasn't. At first I just stared at it. I wasn't sure what to do or think. I hurried and picked up the phone to call Kyle at work to tell him the news. I remember being so shaky and anticipating how I was going to tell him. He answered and I freaked out. It was so exciting. :) 

I am 8 in a half weeks right now and go to my first doctor's appointment on Monday June 20th. I cant wait. We both have been looking forward to it for a while. 

I have been pretty sick. around 6 weeks I started getting sick at night. This week I became more and more sick through out the day and then around 6 at night it would get worse. I haven't thrown up yet, but almost wish i could sometimes. I used to love chocolate so much, but ever since I have been pregnant it looks so nasty. The only things I have really been craving so far is Starbursts and grilled cheese sandwiches. It kind of stinks because nothing ever sounds good so I am definitely looking forward to my 2nd trimester where I will be more normal again. 

The newest addition to our family. . . .

We just got a puppy in April. He is a shih tzu and is so cute!! I have always wanted to get a dog, but all of the apartments and places we have been living didnt allow them. When we started to rent this house in west valley i called up the owners and asked if we would be able to get a dog? They asked what kind we wanted and when i told them they were more than happy to say YES. They have had many shih tzu's and agreed that they were a good dog to have.

His name is LEO. we came up with that name from the REAL soccer team's mascots. Kyle wanted to name it from someone on the team, but then came up with the LEO the lion. His full name is Leo Ding Spackman. :) Ding came from his ancestor's. haha When we bought him they gave us a pedigree chart of all the names of his ancestor's in the family tree. So of course we had to keep the name Ding going so it could be brought down from many generations.


He was born on Feb. 28th. He is a very good dog and is doing well on potty training so far. 

WE HAVE JOINED

Believe it or not we have now joined the "blog world." I have wanted to start a blog for our newly established family for a very long time now, but kept putting it off. so here I am now. :) I love being able to share everything on our blog, but not only that kind of keeping a journal for me to have through out the years and to see our family grow. Anyways here it is. ENJOY!
